- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Chinese rice vinegar or cider vinegar
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/3 cup of water (80 ml)
DIRECTIONS
- Mix all the ingredients in the sauce until they are well mixed. Put aside.
- Mix all the ingredients of the batter in a bowl until everything is well mixed, stir several times to make sure there are no lumps and that the dough is smooth. Add the chicken to the dough, stir to coat well.
- Heat 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7.5 cm) of the oil in a wok or pan thoroughly at 175 ° C (350 ° F) for frying. Gently put the chicken in the oil and detach it immediately with a spatula to prevent the chicken from clumping. Fry the chicken until golden. Remove the chicken from the oil using a colander or draining spoon. Drain the excess oil by placing the chicken on a dish lined with paper towels. Discard the oil.
