You’ll Need:

1½ lbs crisp strawberries, stemmed and quartered (around 4 glasses quartered strawberries) 

3 stalks crisp rhubarb, cut not exactly ¼" thick 

½ c. granulated sugar or natural sweetener 

1 tsp. vanilla bean glue or vanilla concentrate 

1 tsp. lemon or orange pizzazz 

2 tbsp. cornstarch 

1 c. universally handy flour 

1 c. out-dated moved oats 

¾ c. light-dark colored sugar, stuffed 

¼ tsp. salt 

squeeze cardamom and nutmeg (discretionary) 

12 tbsp. unsalted margarine, cold and cubed

How to Make:


  1. Preheat broiler to 375 degrees. 
  2. In a vast combining bowl hurl the strawberries, rhubarb, sugar, vanilla, get-up-and-go and cornstarch. Fill a 8x8-inch, 9x9-inch, or a 7x11-inch preparing dish; put aside. 
  3. In a medium blending bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, dark colored sugar, salt, cardamom and nutmeg. Cut spread into the blend with a baked good blender until pea estimate clusters (or somewhat bigger) structure. Sprinkle disintegrate equally over best. 
  4. Spot in stove and heat for 40-50 minutes or until juices are foaming and fresh is brilliant dark colored. Expel from stove and permit to cool for 15 minutes-this will enable the juices to set a bit. Serve warm with vanilla frozen yogurt.
